View fullsize When we designed the new S2 for 2021, we started from a blank paper with the focus of creating the strongest board that BajaBoard has ever produced as well as requiring less maintenance. Mechanically, we: • Overhauled our drive train to reduce the amount of downtime due to changing belts. • Redesigned the bulkhead to be 50% thicker and 40% shorter using aerospace grade alloy and modifying the overall manufacturing process, which translates into a stiffer and stronger chassis that handles better over uneven terrain. • Revamped our bottom suspension arms to be sturdier machined from a single alloy billet - after all, it is the part that takes the most punishment from the ground. • Added extra degrees of freedom to the suspension system that allows you to go over taller rocks without bottoming out.
