Ending the (financial) year with a high

Remember back to our post on A Day of Fun, where Ale and I had a great afternoon with Le Mans? Well we're back, and we bought friends!

The End of the Financial Year usually screams work, finances, getting things sorted, and late nights. But not for the BajaBoard team. We made sure we had all our affairs in order so we could enjoy a day out with some of our valued corporate partners and friends.

After Ale and I won a voucher at the last Le Mans Go Karts corporate day, we headed back out to Dandenong for a full go kart race. Instead of the five minutes in the karts we experienced previously, we enjoyed a few laps of qualifying before heading into a 25 lap race, and wow was it competitive! You probably know that I'm a rather competitive person, but that was nothing compared to all the guys jumping in the cars ready to destroy one another - figuratively speaking.

Our 25 lap race was filled with thrills, overtaking, spin outs, and crashing (the crashing was done by yours truly). Nonetheless, we all had a blast. Thankfully the track was relatively dry and we could go much faster than the last time we graced this circuit. Once the racing was done, it was trophy presentation time and food.

Le Mans put on a great spread as usual. A lovely homemade lunch coupled with hot chocolates, teas, and coffees to keep us going was enjoyed by all. We must have savored it so much that we hung around chatting for a good hour or so.

But before the sun could set, we had to fit in some more fun! The talking done, lunch eaten, trophies presented, it was time to hit the track, this time with our toy.

Compare the pair. Electric skateboards and go karts, what would you ride?

How can we resist going anywhere without our BajaBoards? I mean, look how awesome they look on the track. They look like a beast, especially the black, stealthy model.

After some pretty pictures we just had to jump on board and ride. Track riding is great fun and this go kart circuit was perfect for testing out the speed and turning of the boards. Word on the street is that Le Mans might even be making an off-road track so we'll definitely be back to test it with our boards.

As the sun set, it was time to pack up and head home. Thanks again to Rodney and the awesome team at Le Mans Go Karts, and we hope to come back again.

There's always more fun to be had at BajaBoard. What should we do for our next adventure? Tell us in the comments.
